Mantri Manai, Nallur; which is said to date back to the 15th century, today a heritage site along with an ornamental gateway which is believed to be the only surviving section of the Sangili Thoppu palace complex. According to the Vaipava Malai the Portuguese appointed Prince Paranirupasingha as their Chief Minister during his life time. Hence the name of the building. Tradition has it that both Don Juan Kumarakulasinghe Mudaliyar and Tissanayake Mudaliyar were descended from this chieftain.

The Ruins of the gatepost and parapet and what remains of the once impressive ceremonial drive way of ancient "Pothipulam Valauwwa" the seat of the Tissanayagam family for centuries. The property was taken over by the governmnet in the 1960's as the Mathakal army camp and later completely destroyed by the LTTE around 1983.

Mudi Walavu Tellipallai the seat of the Kumarakulasinghe family after the fall of Jaffna to the Portughese. It was also called Kumarakulasinghe Walavu or Manyagar Walavu & stood on a large extent of land.
